Material Selection
High-speed steel: It has good red hardness, wear resistance, and toughness; it can maintain good performance in high-speed punching and upsetting. Commonly used high-speed steel materials are Japan's SKH9, SKH55, SKH59, and America's M2, M35, M42, etc., for a variety of stamping materials and processes.
Powdered high-speed steel: such as ASP23, ASP30, ASP60, etc., it's performance is better than ordinary high-speed steel, with higher hardness, abrasion resistance, and toughness, able to withstand higher impact loads, suitable for processing high- hardness materials or mold life requirements of the occasion.
Tungsten steel: that is tungsten carbide with very high hardness and wear resistance, but relatively poor toughness, high production technology threshold, and high cost; commonly used in the stainless steel cold heading industry and heavy deep drawing field.
